Payment, Cancellation and Change Terms

My Araç Kiralama Hizmetleri Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi, through its website www.izmirmyrentacar.com, carries out vehicle rental services in accordance with the payment, cancellation and change conditions specified below.

Online Payment and Prepaid Reservations

The “Pay Online by Credit Card” option indicates that the rental fee and selected additional services are collected online during the reservation process. Additional services requested later (such as extra insurance packages, one-way fees, fuel differences, etc.) may be paid at the sales office upon vehicle pick-up.

In the event that our company is unable to provide the rental service due to reasons attributable to itself, the full amount prepaid by the customer will be refunded.

Online prepayments do not include fuel charges, one-way fees, traffic fines, damage costs or additional services requested during the rental period. For such charges, a credit card may be requested at the time of rental.

Bank and Credit Card Related Charges

Any commission, exchange rate difference, service fee or similar charges applied by the bank issuing the credit card during the refund or payment process are not the responsibility of Izmir My Rent A Car.

Payment Methods

Payment methods may vary depending on the rental type, vehicle group and operational conditions. Payments are primarily accepted by credit card; however, alternative payment methods may be evaluated at the discretion of our company when deemed necessary. A credit card may be requested for deposit and security purposes. The final payment method is determined prior to vehicle delivery.

Cancellation and Refund Conditions

Cancellations made up to 24 hours before the vehicle pick-up time are fully refundable.
Cancellations made between 24 hours and 2 hours before pick-up will be refunded after deducting one day’s rental fee. (No refunds for one-day reservations.)
No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than 2 hours before pick-up.
The vehicle will be held for 2 hours from the scheduled pick-up time. If not collected within this period, the reservation will be cancelled and no refund will be issued.
Once the vehicle has been collected, no refunds will be made for unused rental days.
Refunds are processed within 3–5 business days, depending on the bank’s processing time.

Requirements for Vehicle Delivery

If the following conditions are not met, vehicle delivery may be refused and no refund may be issued:

A credit card may be required for payment and deposit procedures.
Cash and debit cards are not accepted for prepaid reservations.
Sufficient credit card limit must be available for the deposit amount determined by the vehicle group.
The person collecting the vehicle must present a valid driving license.
More than one credit card may be requested for upper segment vehicle rentals.
Drivers holding a foreign driving license are required to present their passport.
If the entry date to Türkiye exceeds 6 months, a Turkish driving license may be required.

Reservation Changes

Changes are not permitted for prepaid reservations. However, if customer services are contacted, exceptional evaluation may be made at the company’s discretion depending on availability. If changes are not possible, the reservation must be cancelled and a new reservation created.

Extension of Rental Period

In prepaid rentals, if the rental period exceeds the return date specified in the reservation, additional days will be charged according to the current list prices valid on the extension date.

Operational and Force Majeure Reasons

Izmir Airport car rental reserves the right to cancel the reservation by refunding the paid amount, even in the case of a confirmed reservation, due to mechanical failure, accident, epidemic suspicion, force majeure or operational necessities.

On our Efes car rental website, you can view our vehicle list, get detailed information, and make reservations by selecting your pick-up point, drop-off point, pick-up date, and drop-off time from the homepage. After making a reservation, the system will automatically send you a pending email. Your reservation will be reviewed during business hours, and you will receive an email regarding your reservation. Your assigned reservation representative will contact you 24 hours before your reservation.

The minimum rental period for a car in Efes is 3 days. Please contact us for shorter rental periods.

To rent a car at Efes, you will need a passport, driver's license, and credit card. If you do not have a credit card, please indicate this in the reservation comments section. Also, state that you wish to rent with a cash deposit. (The company may exercise its discretion according to its procedures.)

Efes rental age limit: For economy class vehicles, 23 years old and 3 years of driving experience are required; for mid-class vehicles, 25 years old and 3 years of driving experience are required; and for premium vehicles, 27 years old and 5 years of driving experience are required.

Reasons for Taking a Deposit: To provide security for possible minor damage and scratches, to cover subsequent costs such as HGS/OGS toll fees and traffic fines, to secure additional charges in cases requiring fuel surcharge or extensive cleaning, and to ensure a transparent, secure, and smooth rental process. Our company implements the deposit process solely for customer satisfaction and service security, and if there are no problems at the end of the rental, the deposit will be cancelled and the amount will be returned to you without any deductions.

Insurance and Comprehensive Coverage Terms and Conditions

All vehicles rented from our company are covered by insurance and comprehensive (casco) protection to safeguard you against potential risks throughout your rental period. However, certain conditions must be met for these coverages to be valid.

The conditions below clearly explain the situations in which insurance and comprehensive coverage apply:

Conditions for the Validity of Insurance and Comprehensive Coverage

Use in compliance with traffic regulations: The vehicle must be used in accordance with traffic laws, including speed limits and safe driving conditions.

No driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs: If the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident, the insurance and comprehensive coverage become completely invalid.

Possession of a valid driver’s license: The person driving the vehicle must hold a valid driver’s license of the appropriate class.

Unauthorized driver usage: If the vehicle is driven by a person not listed in the rental agreement, the insurance and comprehensive coverage will not be valid.

Preparation of an accident report: In the event of an accident, an official report must be prepared by the authorities and our company must be informed. Without an accident report and an alcohol test report, no insurance procedure will be valid.

Use of the vehicle for commercial purposes: Using the rented vehicle for purposes contrary to the contract, such as racing, off-road driving, or carrying cargo, voids the insurance coverage.

Special packages for tire, glass, and headlight damages: Damages to these parts are covered only if the relevant additional coverage packages have been purchased.

We are by your side throughout your rental period to minimize all possible risks.

At Efes, car rental transactions are processed via credit card with pre-authorization to ensure a safe and hassle-free process. Therefore, renting a car without a credit card is not possible under our standard rental procedures. Customers without credit cards can have a first-degree relative or an accompanying person use their credit card to complete the rental. The credit card holder can be listed as an additional driver or renter in the contract. Alternatively, a cash deposit is accepted (this varies depending on the individual and the situation, at our discretion).

Foreign customers: If you do not have your passport with you, you must have the stamped document issued upon entry into the country to rent a vehicle. Verification of identity information, completion of legal contract procedures, and ensuring the validity of insurance and comprehensive coverage are required.
