You may travel outside of İzmir with the rental vehicle; however, the route, mileage allowance, and contract terms should be reviewed together before departure. Planning ahead helps protect both your budget and the safety of the vehicle.
Share Your Route in Advance
If you are planning a long trip outside the city, please inform our team when making your reservation. The area of use or specific road conditions may influence the choice of vehicle category. Taking the vehicle outside of Turkey requires specific permits and documentation; do not cross the border without written authorization.
Calculate Your Mileage Allowance
Our standard mileage allowance is generally 200 km per day and 3,000 km for monthly rentals. This allowance may vary depending on the vehicle category. Plan your reservation duration by calculating the round-trip distance and any additional driving planned during the journey.
Choose a Vehicle Suitable for the Journey
Factors such as the number of passengers, luggage, road conditions, transmission preference, and fuel type determine comfort on long trips. Consider not only the vehicle's size but also its intended use. If the selected model cannot be prepared due to unavoidable operational reasons, a substitute vehicle with similar specifications may be provided.
Plan Your Fuel Stops and Breaks
Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as when you picked it up. Refuel only as much as you need. Planning fuel stops, rest breaks, and estimated arrival times in advance ensures a safer drive on long journeys.
Do Not Force the Vehicle in Case of a Breakdown
If you notice a warning light, unusual noise, or any issue affecting driving safety, pull over in a safe location and call our 24/7 support line. Do not authorize repairs or towing services without prior approval. We will provide the necessary guidance based on your location.
Prepare for Road and Weather Conditions
Your route may involve highways, mountain roads, or seasonal weather conditions. Inquire about the appropriate tire type and vehicle class for your route before booking. Ensuring your phone is charged, keeping emergency contact numbers handy, and identifying safe rest stops are all part of preparing for a long trip.
Do not allow anyone not listed in the rental agreement to drive the vehicle. If driving duties are to be shared, have a second driver added to the agreement before pickup. Keep in mind that toll road and bridge crossing fees may be charged to your rental account later. Notify our team in advance if your arrival or return plans change, especially if the return time will be affected.
