Rental car insurance does not mean that every cost is covered in every situation. The type of cover, deductible, conditions of use and exclusions must be considered together. Review the protection in the agreement as well as the price.
What does basic damage cover include?
Damage cover included in the rental price may limit your responsibility for collision damage under the agreement. A deductible is the amount for which you may remain responsible. Optional protection for a lower deductible, theft or third-party liability may also be available, but limits differ.
What may be excluded?
Tyres, glass, lights and some parking damage may not be included. Unauthorised driving, alcohol or drug use, traffic violations, incorrect fuel, misuse, lost keys or late reporting can invalidate cover. Required police or accident documents must be completed.
After an incident
- Make safety the priority and call emergency services when necessary.
- Contact our team before moving the vehicle unless safety requires otherwise.
- Follow instructions for reports and photographs.
At collection, ask which cover applies, the deductible and the main exclusions. The signed agreement and selected package determine the final conditions. Review our rental terms before your journey.
